Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) to mandate Sustainability Reporting

WHAT IS THIS MANDATE ABOUT?

The Securities Exchange Commission is set to release the Sustainability Reporting Guidelines for publicly-listed companies, in the Philippines, to begin reporting on their sustainability performance. The new mandate will require Publicly-Listed companies in the Philippines to provide a snapshot of their organization’s non-financial performance to the SEC attached to Form 17A.

An organization’s practice of reporting publicly on its yearly significant economic, social and environmental impacts enables them to measure and monitor their contributions to achieving universal targets for sustainability.

WHO IS THIS MANDATE FOR?

All publicly-Listed companies in the Philippines.
